This 2000W pure sine wave inverter delivers reliable power for RVs, emergency backup, and off-grid systems. Customers praise its "well-made" construction, low idle power consumption (5.44W), and ability to run high-demand appliances like refrigerators and microwaves. The remote control and USB-C port add convenience. However, several shoppers note the included cables are too light gauge and recommend upgrading to 2/0 wire. Voltage display calibration is often off by 4-5V. Limited to 2 AC outlets.

  • This is a well made inverter. Power consumption when inverter is on but no AC Load is only 5.44W
  • Very happy with this inverter. It really does use only 9-16 watts overhead which is very low.
  • It's pretty spot on with what you'd be looking for in a pure sine wave inverter.

Erayak 2000W Pure Sine Wave Inverter 12V DC to 120V AC Converter

This is a well made inverter. It is a high frequency inverter that uses only one large High frequency Toroidal transformer for stepping up the 12V dc to 170V dc for feeding the DC to AC inverter output stage, most high frequency inverter uses multiple small transformers instead.
Power consumption when inverter is on but no AC Load connected is only 0.4A x 13.6V = 5.44W which is very impressive for 2000W inverter, most are higher than 10W.
This unit can easily start and run my 1996 25 cu.ft Whirlpool without hesitation, I use this fridge for testing inverter surge capability, it has at least 3600W of power surge which most of the 2000W inverters that I have tested fail to start and run this fridge. 2000W AIMS and BougRV can run my fridge OK, but other brands have failed to do so.

Now the bad part:
The Voltmeter calibration is way off, it shows 115V ac on the display but my Fluke and Kill-A-Watt meter show 120V ac, this is will also cause the Watt display to be off also.
The cables that come with the unit are too small, you should use 2/0 wire gauge for this unit for the DC input wires. 2000W AC output/12V = 167A, 167A/0.85 = 196A on the DC input side due to 85% inverter efficiency.
According to the tech support, you cannot bond Neutral and Ground together otherwise it will damage the unit.
It only has 2 AC outlets.

Heavy duty, works great

We run this inverter while driving our SUV to charge Lithium ion batteries for our camper. It works flawlessly and I couldn't be happier with it. This inverter is somewhat big and very heavy but with the remote control, it's easy to start it. I can recommend it.

Very powerful inverter.

I absolutely love how well this inverter is constructed . I hooked this to a 12.8v 200ah Lifepo4 battery with 2 awg cables. I plugged in a 600 watt parabolic heater. The inverter functioned perfectly for this high load . No fan kicked on and the heater powered on nice and hot . I let it run for a good 20 minutes and no problem . The inverter never got hot with 600 watt continous load. I hooked up the remote power switch that was very nice. I could turn the inverter on and off when I was done using the heater . I am excited to use this inverter in my solar power system. I am going to use the inverter to power a mini fridge. I like how it can be shelved or mounted to a wall . The voltage on the lcd reading seems to be off by 2v but that is fine completely normal for most inverters . I am very happy with this inverter . Awesome professional product . Even came with some 4 Guage cables 4 of them total and ground wire kit .

Nice inverter, light gauge cables, watch for price changes

The inverter functioned very well. I noticed a few things that keeps this from being best-in-class. The cables supplied are far to light gauge for something that has the potential of drawing 4kW. I tested the inverter using 2 AWG and I suggest anyone buying this to do the same, even for a short run.

I tested the output and it's definitely providing pure sine AC power. It was a little noisy, but not bad, at all. It would be nice if it provided 120V, it hover around 116VAC. It ran a 1600W heater without issues, as well as a hair drier that drew 1450W. The USB outlets work, and I even saw my S22 Ultra was charging at Super Fast, which is a definite plus. The LCD display isn't the brightest display, but it's acceptable. Just two AC outlets is a bit limiting for what is a fairly standard size unit.

Pure sine wave inverter

This inverter works great. We live in Florida, better known as hurricane country, and we are using it with solar panels to charge batteries, which in turn run the inverter. One solar 100W solar panel, one battery 100AH, and this inverter is able to power two televisions, two air purifiers, lights, Phone and internet service (we are continuing to test it but it sure beats having to turn on a gas=powered generator in times of power loss.) We are planning to add more solar panels and batteries to it and we will be able to power everything needed during temporary power loss. Great product.

Works great for emergency power

We installed a French drain system with a sump pump at our house. We had issues with water intrusion through the foundation. This works well but the pump requires power. We have hurricane Milton bearing down on our location. There’s a high chance that we will lose power. I connected the sump pump to the inverter and it easily runs the pump each time the sump fills with water. The inverter is very quiet, puts out clean power, and has enough capacity to start motors.

One of the best, to me, for emergencies

This inverter is one of the best options for summer or winter emergency use. If you plan to use it continuously, you'll need the right capacitor. Double the 8awg capacitor to get 4awg, which is actually comparable to the inverter's output power. Don't count on the digital display, though. It's a rough estimate, but there's a 4-5V error depending on the input power. I powered it with a Lipo battery pack I built myself, and it got 15.43V.

It's currently selling for $249. Honestly, for a pure sine wave power source that can power a 500-watt refrigerator, a 1000-watt microwave, a 43-inch/75-inch TV, an internet modem, and prevent all my LED bulbs from humming or flickering for hours on end, it's a good deal (I connected it to my house during a lightning-struck utility pole that caused a power outage).

You can buy a ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) to plug into or connect to the inverter's output. It has a built-in fuse for protection, just like a car stereo amplifier. You can also add a 160A fuse to the positive battery terminal for extra protection.

Great product for the price

Wanted a pure sine wave investor for my backup project and this fit the bill in all aspects that I wanted.

Good Inverter

This is a really good inverter. It's spot on with the conversion and energy output and is so fined tune it works within specs perfectly. With 2000 watts, it can convert power for anything I need without issue. The pure sine wave attribute is critical to me. It prevents certain things from potentially being damaged or destroyed.

It has an 18 watt USB port which is great for fast-charge capable devices. I used it for several days camping not too long ago and it worked like a champ. I had no problems at all. The LCD screen provides current information and is nice a clear and easy to read.

It's a great inverter and I would recommend it.

Top quality inverter for my emergency hurricane system!

Wow, this is one top quality inverter for my emergency backup system! I live in a hurricane impacted state and am using this unit with a solar panel, charge controller, and deep cycle battery as a way to provide power in case my electricity is out for a long period of time due to the lines at the road being down. In all the tests so far, it has performed beautifully and should be good for this purpose. I like that the unit has both 110 volt power outlets and USB outlets. I also like the status display on the top of the unit. In addition, the remote control is a nice feature although I will not need it. Only time will tell, but so far I am impressed with this product's performance. With that being said, I am ranking this unit at the top with five stars for sure!

This is a pretty sweet inverte, a lot of bang for the buck

I was able to hook this thing up to some of my industrial test equipment an analyze the output and the sine wave and it’s pretty spot on with what you’d be looking for in a pure sine wave inverter. I did further testing and it has run my microwave and my air conditioner without faulting out which only a sine wave inverter can do. The ground fault resets on the individual outlets are a really nice touch, as are the built in fast charging ports (tested to 20w). I like this inverter so much that I have decided that if it lasts another few months without fan or inverter failure, I’ll be adding a second one to my system.

Excellent. Very happy with this inverter.

I am very happy with this inverter. It really does use only 9-16 watts overhead (at idle or above the draw of the appliance running on it), which is very low for a reasonably priced pure sine wave inverter. I also really like that it comes with a wired remote power switch, which I was able to mount in an easy to reach spot in my van. Makes turning it on and off very convenient. This inverter has been working very well for me, and it's nice that it doesnt draw down my solar batteries too much if i forget to turn it off.

One of the best, to me, for emergencies

This inverter is one of the best for emergencies in the summer or winter. You will need the proper capacitance if you plan on using it continuously. Double up the 8awg and you'll get 4awg which is actually right on par with the inverters output. Don't count on that digital display though. I mean it gives you a ballpark figure but it's off by 4-5v depending on input power. I ran 15.43v to it via a LIPO pack I built myself. With that being stated, that might be the reason for the difference in readings betwixt my multi and this display.

Right now this thing is going for a $175. I'll be honest for a pure sine wave that is capable of running a 500w fridge, 1000w microwave, 43" TV/ 75" TV, internet modem and keep all my led bulbs from buzzing or flickering for hours on end,( tied it into my house when lightning struck a pole and caused an outage) this is a good deal. If you can look past the faults with the display and the thin gauge wire, then it's a no brainier.

You can buy a GFCI to plug in or tie into the output of the inverter. It has internal fusing for protection the same way a car audio amp does. You can always add a 160A fuse to the battery positive side for extra protection.
