Pretty reliable. Instructions to get it started were pretty clear and easy to set up. Used it rustic camping a few weeks ago for the first time and it was pretty quiet. Ran it for a few hours with gas. Interested to see how it handles over time.
I got the Erayak R8000iE inverter generator a few weeks ago, and I’m really impressed so far. Setup was super easy, and the electric start button makes it way more convenient than pull-start models I’ve used before.
I tried running two heaters at the same time, and this 8000W inverter generator had no problem keeping up. The display shows a steady 60Hz output, which gives me confidence when plugging in sensitive electronics.
Noise level is surprisingly low for the size, and that’s a big plus. It feels solid, has plenty of outlets, and I like knowing I can use it for camping trips, RV power, or as a home backup generator.
Overall, this is a quiet inverter generator with serious power. If you need something reliable and easy to use, the R8000iE is worth it.
Our power pole caught fire due to a grounding issue, and we were left without electricity until repairs could be made. Thankfully, I had purchased the Erayak 8000iE Inverter Generator ahead of time. Living in rural Texas, the power grid isn’t always reliable during storms.
This was my first real use of it, and I’ll admit I was a little nervous at first. But it delivered exactly what we needed. It powered our RV without any issues and kept us comfortable the entire time. While some people complain about generator noise, this 8000iE runs at about 67 decibels from 23 feet away — much quieter than the old generators I’ve used, so we could sleep through the night without getting up to refuel.
Before firing it up, I had already checked and installed the small parts, and noticed it doesn’t come with oil. I added about a quart and used Sta-bil fuel stabilizer so the fuel stays fresh during storage. I also make it a habit to run it once a month just to keep it ready.
With its 5.4-gallon fuel tank, it ran close to 9 hours at 50% load — plenty of time to get through the night. It kept our air conditioner, refrigerator, and TV running without a hiccup.
I really like the versatile outlets — dual 120V/240V power, standard household outlets, a 30A locking outlet, a 12V DC port, and USB ports — so I can power everything from the fridge and sump pump to my laptop and phone charger at the same time.
I hope my review helps someone in making a decision, I was very leary at first but it has proven itself to me.
Wow, this thing is a beast! Once I installed the wheels, I couldn’t help but admire how great it looked. Luckily, it works just as good as it looks.
I own an Allegro bus that’s currently in for repairs—about $4,000 worth—and I needed something to keep it running until the work is done. Living in Arizona, having reliable power is essential. The Erayak generator handled everything on my motorcoach without breaking a sweat. I ordered an L14-30 to 50A adapter to get 240V power, and it ran both of my Dometic Penguin II air conditioners, plus the microwave/convection oven, TV, Starlink, and all the outlets for charging devices. I’m extremely happy with this purchase and will definitely buy from Erayak again.
The only hiccup I had was that the generator kept shutting down every few minutes. At first, I didn’t realize the CO light was on—hard to see in bright sunlight. Turns out, the wind was blowing exhaust back toward the CO detector. After moving the generator to a different spot, it’s been running perfectly ever since.
I recently bought a new race car trailer. A friend suggested I try a cheaper generator first, so I picked up a budget 3500W unit from a discount brand. For $800, I figured it was worth a shot.
Big mistake.
It started fine, but the moment I plugged in my small air compressor and trailer lights, the thing nearly exploded — smoke, noise, total chaos. I was half expecting it to dig a trench under the trailer. Barely 2 hours in, it was toast.
A few days later, I decided to do it right.
Enter the Erayak 8000iE. It cost more, but what a difference. I ran the same compressor, trailer lights, and an AC unit — and it didn’t flinch. Quiet. Stable. Clean inverter power. I even tune my car with a laptop directly off it, with zero fear of data loss or dirty current.
My dad used to say: "If it's worth buying, it's worth buying once."
This generator proves it.
We’re building our retirement home out in the country, and one of our top priorities is being prepared for outages—especially during storms or winter weather. After reading up on various models, we chose the Erayak 8000iE inverter generator to give us backup power for essential loads like lighting, heating, and refrigeration.
After unboxing and setup, I was immediately impressed by the quality of construction. The design is clearly engineered with real-world use in mind. Electric start and remote start are major benefits for someone like me who’s not looking to pull-start a heavy-duty machine in the middle of the night.
What really surprised us is how quiet the 8000iE runs—especially for a generator with 6800 running watts and 8000 starting watts. We tested it running several appliances, and it didn’t even break a sweat. The enclosed frame helps a lot with noise, and the LCD panel gives helpful readouts for voltage, run time, and load.
Like many people our age, moving heavy equipment isn’t easy. Though it comes with wheels, I took it a step further and mounted it on a garden wagon that I can tow with our lawn tractor—problem solved. Now I can roll it out from the shed when needed without lifting.
I use only ethanol-free gas with a quality fuel stabilizer and plan to keep the battery hooked up to a trickle charger so it’s always ready. I also appreciate the built-in carbon monoxide sensor, which gives us peace of mind if the weather forces us to run it close to the house.
Overall, I think we made the right choice. With its quiet operation, remote start, long runtime (up to 9 hours at 50% load), and dual 120V/240V output, this generator checks all the boxes. I expect it to give us many years of reliable emergency service as we settle into our new home.
Arrived in excellent condition. I have used this Erayak generator over a dozen times already, and it starts and runs perfectly each time. It is quiet and powerful. With its gasoline engine, electric start, and quiet operation, I am very pleased with its performance.
Fantastic...very quiet for its size...perfect backup for the Hurricane
The first impression of the ERAYAK 8000iE is excellent — it’s a beautifully designed machine with a solid metal frame that gives it a premium look and feel. I ran it under load for several hours, and when I drained the break-in oil, I was surprised at how clean it was, with only minimal metal particles, which is completely normal. Overall, I’m very impressed with its performance and build quality. This generator has really exceeded my expectations, and I truly enjoy using it.
I recently put this generator to the ultimate test—running it for 64 hours straight, with only brief breaks for oil changes. I completed the break-in oil change and another at 25 hours. Throughout the entire run, it exceeded my expectations, performing flawlessly. It powered my 25-foot Grey Wolf travel trailer with everything running, handling both sunny days and severe thunderstorms without a hiccup. Reliable, powerful, and consistent—at this point, I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase it again.
