Works great, runs a long time on a few gallons and it's not loud
Amazing quality for the price! Fit and finish was very good. Arrived well boxed and without any damage. Did a good run-in, and it always started on the first pull, even on the very first pull. So far so good.
The inverter arrived in packaging appropriate to its size.
It is very heavy, but that was to be expected upon receipt. The material used for the cage was carefully chosen, with a good thickness of metal, as the device was designed for outdoor use.
On the front, however, some trimmings were made, although the workmanship was still solid there.
With a large tank of premium gasoline, starting the motor is child's play. A gentle pull and it starts, which is accompanied by a fairly loud noise. If you increase the power, the dB(A) also increases significantly. Nevertheless, it is still within the standard range for a gasoline inverter.
The performance is excellent, and even under load it easily lasts for more than half a day.
I’ve been using the Erayak portable inverter generator for several weeks now, and it’s exceeded my expectations.
This unit delivers 4000W peak / 3500W rated power with a pure sine wave inverter, which means I can safely run my laptop, phone chargers, and other sensitive electronics without worrying about power spikes.
For my camping trips and occasional home backup, it has been a quiet workhorse. With the ECO mode, the noise level stays low, and I can stretch fuel use for hours — much quieter than my neighbor’s conventional generator.
The design includes both a 120V 20A household outlet and a 120V 30A RV outlet, so I’ve powered tools in my garage, my RV’s AC unit, and even small kitchen appliances during an outage.
Starting it is straightforward — fill the gas tank, check the oil, flip the switch, and pull the recoil handle. The LED indicators for oil alert, overload, and running status are a nice safety touch.
The open-frame inverter design feels solid and well-built. It’s well-ventilated, which helps during long runs on hot days. At about 30 kg (around 66 lbs), I can lift it alone, but moving it with a friend is easier.
Pros
✔ Stable power for electronics
✔ Quiet operation with ECO mode
✔ Dual AC outlets for versatility
Price
At $449 , it’s a solid investment for both home backup and outdoor adventures.

The ERAYAK 4000W generator has proven to be an indispensable resource for anyone needing a reliable and efficient power supply. Whether for the garage, workshop, or construction site, this quiet and powerful gasoline generator provides the necessary power for a wide range of applications.
With a capacity of 4000 watts, it can power a wide range of tools and equipment, making it ideal for professional applications and demanding DIY projects. Furthermore, the generator is equipped with an oil sensor that protects the engine from damage caused by low oil levels, thus increasing the longevity and reliability of the unit.
By adapting the engine power to the actual power demand in Eco mode, not only is fuel saved but noise pollution minimized. This feature makes the ERAYAK generator particularly suitable for environments where noise is a significant factor, such as residential areas or nighttime work.
Despite its robust construction, the ERAYAK 4000W generator is surprisingly compact and portable. This facilitates transport from one site to another, making it a practical companion for mobile operations or emergency situations. The generator's simple operation and maintenance ensure that it can be used safely and effectively even by those without prior technical knowledge.
In summary, the ERAYAK 4000W generator is an excellent choice for anyone seeking a powerful, reliable, and user-friendly power solution. Its advanced features, combined with its robust construction and energy efficiency, make it an ideal tool for a wide variety of applications, both in professional and personal settings.
At first, there were a few problems getting the emergency generator to work. In the end, I quickly cleaned the carburetor. I put that down to the cold season. Since I started the generator at -4°C, it needed to warm up a bit first. The Eco mode is surprisingly quiet for a generator. The generator barely noticed my angle grinder with almost 2000 watts.
The important thing to note is that you first have to fill up the oil (approx. 0.6 liters). The generator stands firmly on the ground and is surprisingly small and, at just under 30 kg, actually quite light. The only thing is that the oil filler neck is a bit awkwardly positioned, but for some people it is important to read the manual, as everything is well explained there.
I had the opportunity to test this emergency generator from Erayak.
I've had the opportunity to test other devices from this brand in the past, so I was curious to see what this one would bring.
I expanded my garden this year, and this device came in handy. Since I'm not an expert with this type of device, I asked a colleague to help me. He looks after similar devices at work. The operating instructions and the packaging are very well-designed. All the necessary steps for securing the device and filling it with gasoline are explained step by step.
Usage:
This device is supposed to produce a maximum of 4000 watts. My colleague pointed out to me that you should also consider the starting current of the device. I was able to use my devices, e.g., cement mixers, drills, etc., with a maximum power of 3600 watts perfectly.
After two days and about 8 hours, the tank was empty. It matches the stated values.
Overall, I'm very satisfied with this device. It fulfills its intended purpose perfectly.
I purchased the Erayak 4000i a few weeks ago, and it has exceeded my expectations. The generator delivers stable power for my RV, running the AC and charging my laptop and phone at the same time without any issues. I especially love the quiet operation — it’s much less noisy than my old generator, so I can use it at night without disturbing anyone. The ECO mode is a great feature, saving fuel and extending runtime during camping trips. Starting it is simple with the recoil start, and the LED indicators make it easy to monitor oil, overload, and operation status. I also appreciate the dual outlets, especially the 30A RV plug, which makes setup straightforward. Overall, this is a solid, portable, and fuel‑efficient generator that works perfectly for camping, job sites, and home backup. Highly recommended!
